Roy Cooper
Roy “Super Looper” Cooper produces one of the most prestigious youth calf ropings in the world during the Fourth of July week in Decatur, TX. He also produces The Roy Cooper Junior Invitational in Las Vegas as part of the JR NFR program.
Roy has been dedicated to providing assistance for children and young adults who are pursuing goals in the rodeo arena as well as education. He and other members of his family started the Roy Cooper Rodeo Foundation as a means to support, inspire and demonstrate the values which enable their success.
Roy competed in Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) events since 1976. His professional rodeo career is an inspiration to anyone who pursues the sport:
8-Time PRCA World Champion
PRCA Rookie of the Year 1976 – breaking the record for the most prize money earned in a season by a rookie.
Inducted into the ProRodeo Hall of Fame in 1979
